If you're like I was, back in 1998,
you're stuck in a routine. As your day begins, you're thinking (actually
you're having automatic
thoughts) about starting a Home Business. Your job sucks. You hate your
boss. You're tired of traffic and commuting. You're seriously looking at mlm
businesses and/or other business opportunities. Or maybe you already have a part-time of
even full-time Home Business and it just isn't happening for you. You're tired of going around
in circles! You're tired of chasing after the paycheck week after week.
Welcome to the Human (Work at Home)
Race. The race is against time! Yours! Isn't it time you change the way you're going
about things?
If you
change nothing, nothing changes...
When was the last time you had a
coach or a trainer take you on and support you to reach a better future, to
go beyond your past history? Better still, when was the last time that you
actually allowed such a coach to make a difference in YOUR life? So many people
have been burned that they have lost confidence in others. I was like that until
1985. I then realized that doing it my way had given me results that didn't
satisfy me. So I put myself in training in April 1985. I decided that I had
nothing to lose and everything to gain in investing in myself. I found,
through a friend (interesting to notice that I was referred to
this group by someone who cared about me and NO, she didn't make a commission
out of doing so) to what is today called Landmark Education, a
personal development and training network dedicated to creating breakthroughs in
the area of the "Living of our Lives". That was my taking a stand for a better
future. Guys and girls, for me this was the biggest step in my Life. It was
challenging because I wasn't the kind of guy who was, until then, very
coach-able.
Bottom line
I learned this: "
A coach can bring you no
further than you will allow him/her to bring you". It's a bit like this
other saying: "No one will ever be able to diminish you without your permission"
So it's
really up to you isn't it?
I don't consider myself as your coach
yet. However, seeing as I'm already coaching and mentoring hundreds of Work at
Home entrepreneurs already, I figured it was time to expand on these numbers.
You'll agree that there's power in numbers! If you're willing, we might find a
way to build a worthwhile and mutually beneficial relationship here.
Questions?
Do you want out of your routine, your
vicious circle badly enough? Are you investing much of your spare time surfing
the Internet in search for the right Work at Home opportunity? If so, and before
you fill out this Work at Home questionnaire, here are some questions that you would
have to be asking yourself before starting a traditional business. Keep
in mind that a Work at Home business might alleviate some (but
not all) of the stress that you otherwise would have to live with in a
traditional business start-up.
-
Are you a self-starter? It will be
up to you to develop projects, organize your time and follow through on
details.
-
Do you have a product or service
that is in demand? Evaluate whether the demand is long-lasting or a fad.
-
Will your product or service and
marketing plan set you apart from the competition? Know your niche!
-
Who are your competitors? Can you
name five companies that sell your product or service locally or on the
internet? Keep in mind that electronic commerce has changed the nature of
competition in many businesses.
-
How good are you at making
decisions? Work at Home entrepreneurs are required to make decisions
constantly, often quickly, under pressure and independently. You should be
confident that you can make those choices.
-
Are you willing to risk your
savings on the business? Entrepreneurs must do more than talk about their
commitment to the business. They must show it.
-
If you needed to invest to start
your work at home business, would you have a network of friends or business
associates who would provide you the money? Friends and family members, rather
than banks, typically supply the loans that fund most small business startups.
-
Do you have the physical and
emotional stamina to run a business? Business ownership can be challenging,
fun and exciting. But it's also a lot of work. Can you face 12-hour workdays
six or seven days a week?
-
How well do you plan and organize?
Research indicates that many business failures could have been avoided through
better planning.
-
Is your drive strong enough to
maintain your motivation? Running a business can wear you down. Some business
owners feel burned out by having to carry all the responsibility on their
shoulders. Strong motivation can make the business succeed and will help you
survive slowdowns as well as periods of burnout. You really must love the
business.
-
How well do you get along with
different personalities? Business owners need to develop working relationships
with a variety of people including customers, suppliers, staff, bankers and
professionals such as lawyers, accountants or consultants. Can you deal with a
demanding client, an unreliable vendor or cranky staff person in the best
interest of your business?
-
How will the business affect your
family? Starting a business can be hard on family life. The strain of a spouse
who isn't behind you 100% may be hard to balance against the demands of
starting a business. There also may be financial difficulties until the
business becomes profitable, which could take months or years. You may have to
lower your standard of living or put family assets at risk.
If you haven't been able to give
positive answers to most of the above questions, you may want to reconsider your
decision to run your own traditional business. However, you probably already
know that a Work at Home business offers much more flexibility. This is why so
many people fail in their Work at Home business. There's too much flexibility.
Oh yes,
Beauty
and/or the Beast?
The
Beauty
in your potential Work at Home Business lies in that you are your own boss and
you have only one employee, yourself.
The Beast in your potential Work at Home Business lies in that you are your own boss and you have only one employee,
yourself. You see, if your employee wakes up
one morning and feels tired and if your employee is on strike, well I don't need to
tell you that you have a serious problem on your hands, don't you?
Hence the
questionnaire!
That's why I ask you to fill in this
little questionnaire.
I believe in

I believe in strong working
relationships. I will be able to exert a certain positive influence in
your Life as long as you have the willingness to share a little information
about yourself. The more I know about you, about what cranks YOUR chain, your
dreams and aspiration (and your personal challenges) the more I will be in a
position to assist you in breaking through what stops you.
Influence is a direct
correlate of the amount of information you have about the other person.
For now, I invite you to provide me
with some information about yourself, ok?
A little
advice before you tackle building your Work at Home Business:
Find your niche of people that will
encourage you to build your Work at Home Business. Start your support Network today!
Stop listening to people who have
been struck with the fatal dis-ease (yes, I spell it purposely
like that) called verbal diarrhea
Before you do it well, you have to
learn to do it badly. But for your sake...DO SOMETHING! If you change nothing, nothing
changes!
And don't let anyone tell you "It's a Cult"
